The National Tripartite Committee declares 11% increment in the National Daily Minimum Wage (NDMW) for 2020

GEA would like to inform all employers in the country that in accordance with Section 113 of the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651), the National Tripartite Committee (NTC) has agreed that the National Daily Minimum Wage for 2020 should be GHc11.82, an increment of 11% over the 2019 Minimum Wage of GHc10.65.

The effective date of this adjustment is 1st January, 2020.

You are kindly requested to note that:

1. The new adjustment is effective from 1st January, 2020.
2. Only employees whose actual wages are below Ghc11.82 per day must be adjusted.
3. The percentage adjustment of 11% shall not be a basis for any negotiation of wages/salaries in respective organisations.
