GEA Holds its 64th Annual General Meeting
On September 11, 2024, the Ghana Employers Association (GEA) successfully held its 64th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the newly commissioned Employers’ House in North Ridge, Accra. The event, held under the theme “Prospects for Business Confidence and Stability in Ghana,” brought together representatives from member organizations and key partners to discuss the future of business in Ghana.
The AGM focused on exploring strategies to boost business confidence amid the current economic climate, with insightful discussions from industry leaders including the Managing Director of Unilever Ghana PLC, Mr. Chris Wulff-Caesar and policymakers such as the Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Hon. Festus Awuah Kwofie.
One of the significant highlights of the event was the election of new leaders to steer the affairs of the Association for the next two years. The new executives include:
- Nana Dr. Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodee Afriyie (President)
- Mr. Micheal Bozumbil (1st Vice President)
- Mrs. Victoria Hajar (2nd Vice President)
- Benjamin Appiah – Manuh (Treasurer)
The newly elected executives pledged to continue the Association’s mission of advocating for employers’ interest and supporting the growth of businesses across Ghana. The event was marked by a strong turnout, reinforcing the GEA’s pivotal role in shaping the business landscape of the country.
